In the UK, we experience 4 seasons each year. These are spring, summer, autumn, and winter. You may have noticed that the weather changes during each season. But have you noticed any other differences?
The cartoon on this page shows a tree at midday (12 o’clock in the afternoon). The Sun is in the sky behind it. A label on the picture tells you what month it is.
Use the arrow buttons to change the month. You can go forwards or backwards in time one month at a time. The weather has changed but something else has as well…the height of the Sun in the sky!
Look carefully. How high in the sky is the Sun during each month? Can you spot a pattern? Why not predict (make a guess) about what will happen to the height of the Sun each time you press the button.
